Music based on Oliver’s perspective on his short lived but life changing relationship with Elio. Oliver’s longing looks, his coy way of flirting, Elio’s nosebleed to the foot massage, the worry of hurting Elio after their first time together, their last scene at the train. What it could have been like for him when getting back to America … Reading the book back after watching the film I would have loved to read how Oliver felt through all of this. We won’t be lucky to have a book written on his behalf, so it’s in music, my own soundtrack I’ve created in honor of Call Me by Your Name where I can find a snippet of what I feel Oliver could possibly have felt.
